Breakfast on 2 June 2018 not hoping for much from a Wetherspoons
it is what it is
ordered eggs benedict which is a misnomer really in a place like this
they were average
tea was scummy from the hot water machine the milk ran out
but service was ok cheap and cheerful
why ARE the carpets so sticky huh just wondering -

During the day this place is a pub with restaurant elements, at night it turns into a grimy club.
I Used to hang out in places like this as a student. It fills a very specific night out.
Get in. Get blotto. Dance your ass off. Grab a kebeb the corner. If that's your thing (and don't mind that everything is a little sticky) then this is your place.
The bouncers are a bit heavy handed and there's a 3 pound cover charge. You will need ID and you will need to mind your P's and Q's to get in. Heavy police presence on a Saturday night. A fair few chavvy patrons as well.
The music is the ubiquitous regular house/rnb/boppy/irony90s. Loud. Don't expect to hold much conversation.
2.50 pints, yagerbombs, and probably basics too. -

I went here for dinner a while ago, this is part of the Wetherspoons chain.
Service was very quick, we ordered nachos to share, which were amazing with loads of melted cheese, sour cream, guacamole and tomato chutney. The portion size was massive, so I'm glad we shared.
For main I had the superfood pasta which was lovely, really tomtoey sauce, with broccoli, split peas, roasted tomatoes and other nice things lol, but it tasted really fresh and wasn't too heavy.
We ordered dessert at the start, but when I came time to receive it we were told the dessert we had ordered was not available, so asked for a refund...as to be honest I was stuffed anyway!
Only three star's though as the tables weren't that clean and we had to get 5 sets of cutlery before we could mix and match a clean set out of them.
